Job summary

A South African engineering firm is seeking a qualified Chemical Engineer with a B.Eng. and a minimum of two years' experience in Mineral Processing equipment. Responsibilities include preparing bids and tenders, establishing client relations, conducting test work, and advising on process improvement. Candidates should possess a valid driver’s license, understand flow sheets and process engineering, and demonstrate project management skills. This role involves significant hands-on involvement in both design and commissioning phases.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Two years' experience with Mineral Processing equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and own transport required.
  • Solid understanding of flow sheets and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Solid understanding of metallurgical processes.
  • Solid understanding of process engineering.
  • Solid understanding of project management and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare bids and tenders for clients.
  • Establish relationships with customers.
  • Respond to client enquiries and assess requirements.
  • Conduct test work.
  • Develop Process Flow Sheets and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
  • Advise on process improvement.
  • Design required equipment.
  • Follow up on submissions and resolve queries.
  • Process orders for the projects team.
  • Assist with commissioning processes.
  • Ensure satisfaction during installations.
  • General office administration.
