Responsibilities
Recruitment and Selection
- Advertise jobs (all vacancies for full / part-time employees and contractors) internally and externally.
- Ensure adherence to recruitment policies and procedures as well as South African Labour legislation.
- Set up interviews.
- Conduct competency-based interviews.
- Conduct credential checks.
- Coordinate / administer psychometric assessments and job-specific tests.
- Ensure all applicants have had feedback; i.e. regret letters.
- Prepare documentation for authorization in terms of approved Advtech Process.
- Prepare Offer Letters.
- Set up meeting with manager and applicant for Offer to be negotiated.
- Liaise with various departments to ensure onboarding process is planned and executed.
Performance Management
- Coordinate and guide line managers on the performance management and talent review process, may include training and awareness sessions.
- Ensure adherence to performance management guidelines and deadlines.
- Assist line managers with the individual development plans process, drawing up succession plans and coaching and mentoring initiatives.
- Conduct consultation sessions with Line Management.
Remuneration and Payroll
- Ensure all staff, contractors, temps and casuals are paid.
- Assist line managers with payroll process within agreed-upon timelines.
- Assist with market research and other initiatives regarding market salaries.
- Assist line managers with increase processes and bonus processes.
- Ensure actual payroll expenses are within the approved budget.
- Generate, and analyze reports and proposals for rectification of problems.
- All variances must be reported in terms of standard approved processes.
- Assist managers with the management of leave and other benefits.
- Prepare monthly Leave reports and highlight concerns, problems and deviations from approved processes and policies.
- Ensure all staff have a clear understanding of company benefits.
Employee Relations
- Advise and guide line managers on all staff relations issues.
- Coordinate disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearings.
- Assist line managers with progressive discipline, i.e. absenteeism management and poor performance.
- Ensure adherence to disciplinary and grievance policies and procedures and compliance to South African Labour legislation.
- Ad Hoc and General People & Culture Duties.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or equivalent.
Experience
- 5 Years of Senior Human Resources Officer – generalist experience.
