Job summary

A leading mining company in South Africa is seeking a Lead Officer: Payroll to manage payroll functions and ensure compliance with financial and legislative requirements. The ideal candidate must hold a B Degree in Accounting and have at least 6 years of payroll experience, including proficiency in SAP and understanding complex payroll systems. This role includes mentorship of staff, oversight of governance processes, and regular reporting.

Qualifications

• 6 years Payroll related experience.
• Experience with financial accounting.
• Knowledge of EEC, BCEA, Main Agreement, Income Tax Act.

Responsibilities

• Drafts and compiles employee correspondence.
• Prepares information for governance committees.
• Executes Governing Committee decisions.
• Reports deviations from approved governance norms.
• Communicates section's goals and direction clearly.
