SENIOR MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Our client is looking for a Senior Marketing & Communications Manager based in Cape Town, who can see the bigger picture and execute the details. Someone who blends strategic clarity with creative flair. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in marketing, brand, or communications leadership (preferably in fintech, energy, or technology sectors).
- Proven ability to lead strategy and execute hands-on.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong editorial instinct.
- High competence (if not fluency) in English and Afrikaans essential.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels and partner management.
- Experience managing agencies, budgets, and multistakeholder projects.
- A calm, structured thinker who can cut through complexity with clarity.
- A sense of care and purpose — you understand that trust is the currency of every great brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Strategy & Positioning
- Champion and evolve the brand in line with our strategic direction.
- Translate brand strategy into actionable marketing plans that strengthen trust, awareness, and growth.
- Ensure all communications align with our tone of voice.
- Communications & Storytelling
- Develop and execute integrated communication strategies that articulate our vision across audiences — customers, partners, and government stakeholders.
- Oversee content creation across all channels (digital, social, email, press, internal).
- Craft compelling narratives that make complex energy and fintech solutions simple and human.
- Marketing Planning & Execution
- Lead annual and quarterly marketing planning with measurable outcomes.
- Manage marketing calendars, product launches, partnership rollouts, and campaigns.
- Collaborate with digital, design, and PR partners to deliver high-quality, on-brand work on time and on budget.
- Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Act as the marketing liaison for key partnerships.
- Support communication with municipal, enterprise, and government partners, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and alignment.
- Manage vendor and agency relationships to ensure accountability and impact.
- Internal Communications & Leadership
- Partner with senior leadership to cascade key messages internally and externally.
- Contribute to the shaping of company culture by promoting clear, confident, and caring communication across teams.
- Mentor internal talent and upskill team members or external collaborators where needed.
