Overview

Senior Financial Manager at Betway Africa leading the finance function within the Betway Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports and financial analysis for group management and board committees.
  • Review and sign off on management accounts, reconciliations of income statement and balance sheet and all open item reports.
  • Maintain trial balances, general ledger entries, and group consolidation schedules and ensure one source of truth.
  • Coordinate statutory audits, statutory and group tax returns and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee intercompany billing, transfer pricing governance and contract management across entities.
  • Develop and update annual gaming forecasts, cash flow forecasts, CAPEX schedules and ensure capitalisation policies are followed.
  • Ensure ERP systems (Navision, TM1 and other reporting tools) operate efficiently and maintain data quality.
  • Drive process improvements, documentation, and controls for all finance functions.
  • Manage finance team, set objectives, conduct appraisals and support professional development.
  • Handle ad-hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives as required.
Qualifications
  • BCom (Accounting) with completed Articles, CA (SA), CIMA or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in finance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and advanced financial software systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, gaming tax, corporate tax and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with Navision, contract management and statutory audit processes (desirable).
