Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is looking for a candidate with 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing or supply chain. The role requires proficiency in ERP systems, specifically Syspro, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. The candidate will maintain inventory records, support operational decisions through data analysis, and ensure compliance with supply chain processes. This position is based in Durban, South Africa.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • 810 years experience in a similar role within manufacturing or supply chain.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (Syspro) and advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Solid understanding of supply chain operations.
  • Previous bookkeeping experience and / or a financial qualification advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with complex data.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Accurately capture and maintain factory and inventory records.
  • Perform regular data analysis to support operational decisions.
  • Utilise Syspro ERP for administration and inventory management.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and Syspro data.
  • Assist with quarterly stock counts.
  • Compile Excel reports and track performance across departments.
  • Ensure compliance with supply chain processes and internal financial controls.
  • Collaborate with production and procurement teams on reporting and planning.
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping and cost tracking.
  • Process stock write-offs and conduct related investigations.
  • Investigate Work in Progress (WIP) variances.
