Job summary

A leading equipment supplier in South Africa is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to perform electrical repairs and maintenance on Earthmoving Equipment. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience with Caterpillar machines and possess strong troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities include handling customer breakdowns, compiling service reports, and ensuring adherence to safety practices. Candidates should be qualified as Auto Electricians with a solid understanding of electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience on electric and electronic systems on Caterpillar machines.
• Sound knowledge of safety rules & mining operations.
• Good understanding of Caterpillar electrical and electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out auto-electrical repairs and maintenance on Earthmoving Equipment.
• Deal with all customer auto electrical breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
• Compile accurate customer service reports and parts lists for repairs.
