Job description

Our client is seeking a highly motivated, full-time Scientific Sales Development Specialist to join the sales team and help build a truly global brand. This is a fully remote role, working closely with the CEO and Sales Team Lead.

The primary responsibility of this role is lead generation and pipeline creation through targeted digital outbound activities. The successful candidate will identify, engage, and qualify scientific prospects globally, generating high-quality leads for account managers and supporting the company’s long-term revenue growth. Full training will be provided to ensure individual success and continued company growth.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Generate and qualify new sales leads through targeted digital outbound prospecting
  • Research & identify prospective customers across academic & biopharma sectors
  • Execute structured outbound campaigns using email, LinkedIn, & other digital channels
  • Build and maintain accurate lead records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Qualify leads based on defined criteria before handover to account managers
  • Collaborate closely with account managers to support pipeline development in key global territories
  • Implement and continuously improve best-in-class digital lead-generation processes
  • Utilize in-house digital tools to prospect efficiently and at scale
  • Manage digital outreach workflows, including tracking, reporting, and CRM hygiene
  • Support marketing-led campaigns by following up on campaign-generated leads
  • Adhere to defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to lead generation and qualification
  • Create basic social media and outreach content in collaboration with the marketing team
  • Maintain strong technical knowledge through ongoing courses and in-house product training
  • Follow all Assay Genie procedures and policies

Qualifications
  • BA, BSc, MSc, or PhD in a scientific discipline is required
  • Prior sales or business development experience is advantageous but not essential
