The role involves engaging with top designers, guiding clients in selecting fabrics, and maintaining strong relationships with international brands. Candidates should have 3-5 years of sales experience in luxury goods and a valid driver's license. This position offers a salary of R38,000 to R43,000 inclusive of commission and benefits.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of sales experience in luxury goods/interior decor.
  • Exposure to textiles/fabric sales environment is an advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable own vehicle.
  • Fluent in English and one other SA language.

Responsibilities

  • Meet sales objectives and support managers in achieving budgets.
  • Visit high-profile customers and develop new business.
  • Maintain communication with customers and international brands.
  • Provide regular feedback on queries and delivery dates.
  • Submit weekly reports on sales and market activity.

Position: Luxury Sales Representative - High End - Interior/Decor/Finishes

Location: Durban & Northern Surrounds.

Salary: R38 000 to R43 000 (Depending on Experience) - Inclusive of Commission/Car Allowance & Benefits

Responsibilities
  • Meet sales objectives and support international managers in achieving and exceeding sales budgets.
  • Visit high-profile customers.
  • Develop new business and identify sales.
  • Manage costs against the approved budget.
  • Maintain good communications with customers, employees, and International fabric brands.
  • Maintain good communication and relationship with all International clients
  • Issues and queries dealt with promptly and courteously
  • Regular feedback on queries and delivery dates provided
  • Backorder lists managed
  • Operational problems facilitated and flagged as required
  • Complaints managed and flagged as required
  • Customer expectations met
  • Feedback on special orders was collected and Manager informed
  • Budget set in collaboration with Internationals Manager
  • Expenditure aligns with the budget
  • Weekly reports submitted (sales, market, and competitor activity)
  • Cost control measures put in place and adhered to
  • Excellent customer service is delivered by all staff in the region
  • Support Sales consultants and showrooms in all matters related to Internationals
  • Team members receive regular brand/product communication and updates
  • Weekly sales meetings attended
  • Showroom and Sales consultants coached to increase skills and knowledge (accompanied on sales calls)
  • Act as a brand ambassador for all international fabric houses
  • 20% Office bound and 80% on the road, assisting team.
Requirements and Skills
  • A National Senior Certificate or Diploma in the related field is an advantage.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience – of luxury goods / interior decor environment preferred
  • Exposure to textiles/fabric sales environment is an advantage.
  • Skills in Sales, New business development, Customer service, Product Knowledge, Negotiating skills, Presentation Skills, Market Research, Campaign Implementation, Branding, Public Relations & Publicity, and Report Writing.
  • Valid driver’s License and reliable own vehicle.
  • Languages; Fluent in English and one other SA language (area dependent)
