Overview

Our Client in the Manufacturing and Power Generation Industry is seeking to employ an experienced Sales Representative to their dynamic team based in Cape Town (Brackenfell).

Excellent basic salary + commi ss ion + Fleet card for fuel + Cell + Laptop + Expense card for business.

Requirements :
  • Minimum 3–5 years of direct B2B sales experience (not account management or technical support).
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, generate leads, and close sales in industrial / manufacturing / construction industries.
  • Experience managing end-to-end sales cycles – from prospecting to proposals, negotiation, and securing orders.
  • Comfort with high activity levels – cold calling, daily client visits, pipeline management.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with ability to engage at senior management level.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, ideally in capital equipment, power solutions, industrial machinery, or similar sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in generating leads and securing new accounts.
  • Exposure to generators, construction equipment, industrial machinery, or related industries.
  • Basic technical understanding to support product discussions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and create business opportunities.
  • Hunter mentality – proactive, persistent, and highly target-driven.

Responsibilities, but not limited to :
  • Prospect for new clients via cold calling, networking, and on-site visits.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and update CRM systems regularly.
  • Present solutions to clients through proposals and product demonstrations.
  • Handle negotiations and manage the deal-closing process.
  • Deliver against monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships at multiple levels.
  • Provide post-sale support to ensure smooth implementation (without acting as a technical specialist).
  • Report on sales activity, forecasts, and market trends to management.
