Sales & Marketing-Manager – Commercial & Industrial Solar PV

Our client, a leading renewable energy solutions provider, is seeking to employ an experienced and dynamic Sales & Marketing Manager to lead business growth in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Solar PV sector across South Africa and Southern Africa.

Requirements
  • Proven marketing and business development experience, ideally within the renewable energy or electrical industrial sectors.

  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, market dynamics, and commercial project environments.

  • Demonstrated success in lead generation, client relationship management, and sales conversion.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Financial awareness and ability to plan marketing activities aligned with profitability goals.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or Communications advantageous.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

1. Marketing Strategy & Business Growth:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and lead generation strategy for the C&I Solar PV market.

  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, partnerships, and client sectors.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to position the company competitively.

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns, presentations, and events to promote company services and brand presence.

2. Lead Generation & Sales Development:

  • Build and manage a qualified lead pipeline within the commercial and industrial market.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored client proposals.

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with prospective and existing clients to ensure conversion and retention.

3. Administration & Reporting:

  • Maintain and update the company’s CRM system for lead tracking and client communication.

  • Prepare marketing performance reports and track ROI across campaigns and channels.

  • Provide regular updates to management on marketing activity, opportunities, and outcomes.

4. Client Relations & After-Sales Engagement:

  • Ensure professional and effective client communication and post-project follow-up.

  • Resolve client concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Work with operations and management teams to maintain customer retention and brand loyalty.

5. Public Relations & Brand Representation:

  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences.

  • Build and maintain a positive public image through professional communication and media engagement.

  • Oversee the creation of press releases, case studies, and promotional materials that highlight company achievements.

  • Liaise with social media service providers to ensure continuous and strategic online activity.
