A newly opened premium casual dining venue operating within a respected luxury hospitality group is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a high-volume operation on Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard. This role is suited to a commercially minded hospitality leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands premium service delivery, and can balance operational discipline with guest experience excellence.

This is a senior operational role with full ownership of front-of-house performance, team leadership, and day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee full front-of-house operations in a high-volume, premium casual dining environment
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a large FOH team to deliver consistent service standards
  • Drive guest satisfaction, repeat business, and brand alignment on the floor
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, attendance, and performance management
  • Ensure service procedures, hygiene standards, and compliance requirements are upheld
  • Handle guest feedback and escalations professionally and decisively
  • Work closely with kitchen leadership to ensure smooth service flow
  • Monitor operational costs and support revenue performance through effective floor management
  • 5–7 years of experience in a managerial role within a premium casual dining environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with proven experience in managing P&L.
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Senior Restaurant Manager in premium casual dining
  • Demonstrated success managing high-volume restaurant operations
  • Strong leadership presence with hands-on floor management capability
  • Excellent communication and people-management skills
  • Solid operational knowledge across service, staffing, and guest experience
  • Verifiable references from recent hospitality roles are essential
