We're looking for a Reporting Accountant who sees beyond the spreadsheets—someone with strong finance skills, advanced Excel ability, and the insight to turn data into clear, impactful reports. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyse monthly financial reports for internal business units.
  • Manage the end-to-end budget and reforecasting process (planning, preparation, review, reporting).
  • Analyse and report on budget performance (budget vs. actual) with insightful variance commentary and recommendations.
  • Track and report on the financial performance of grant-funded programs; prepare draft grant reports.
  • Reconcile grant reports with accounting system records.
  • Maintain supporting documentation and a central repository for donor contracts and related documents.
  • Support senior leadership in preparing financial presentations for board and committee meetings.
  • Manage the integration, optimisation, and improvement of financial systems.
  • Assist with planning, implementation, and monitoring of special finance projects.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
  • Strong software proficiency (Excel and ERP systems).
  • Excellent financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Strong communication skills for clear, concise financial reporting.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of management accounting (budgeting, forecasting, planning).
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to resolve financial issues.

  • Professional certification (e.g., SAIPA, ACCA) or progress toward a qualification such as CIMA (advantageous).
Salary
  • R 37,500 - R 45,000 per month CTC, depending on the candidate
