A fintech company in Africa is seeking a Compliance, Governance, and Assurance Specialist to ensure regulatory adherence and facilitate KYC reviews for customers onboarded to their platform. This is a fully remote position requiring a minimum of 3-5 years of compliance experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of AML and KYC regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage relationships with stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of compliance experience.
• Experience working with diverse and geographically distributed teams.
• Ability to perform with discretion, professionalism, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure documentation of company policies and procedures.
• Conduct KYC reviews of onboarded customers.
• Provide compliance advisory related to internal control design and efficiency.
• Review B2B and OTC customers during onboarding.
• Develop relationships with business stakeholders and external auditors.

Skills

Fluency in English

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Knowledge of AML, KYC, and counter-terrorist financing

ACAMS certification or related certification
