Relationship Manager - Sandton
Job Summary

Hire Resolve is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Relationship Manager on behalf of our client, a leading bank renowned for its commitment to delivering innovative, Shariah-compliant financial solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team within the Corporate Division, based in Gauteng, where you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and fostering meaningful client relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Identify customer needs by visiting clients to determine how the Bank’s products and services can meet their financial requirements.
  • Request financial information and other supporting documentation from clients for finance transactions.
  • Receive and discuss client documents and requirements with the Corporate Credit Analyst to initiate the application process.
  • Address queries raised by the Executive Credit Committee regarding finance deals for approval.
  • Engage in proactive client management, effective communication, client visits, and resolve client complaints promptly.
  • Ensure no unallocated fees remain unresolved for over 30 days.
  • Manage clients in SM category to maintain below 5% of advances.
  • Ensure insurance levels remain below 5% of advances.
  • Oversee ‘Other Conditions’ and Covenant list management.
  • Proactively manage NFDs (Non-Financial Data).
  • Maintain arrears below 1% of gross advances.
  • Ensure trade and asset facility reviews are completed before the review date on iMAL.
  • Manage Corporate Branch staff, including performance evaluations, recruitment, and annual appraisals.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory annual leave for staff.
  • Act as a relief Corporate Manager in their absence, managing the corporate portfolio and handling administrative tasks.
  • Address general staff-related matters.
  • Attend management meetings such as Exco and ECC as required.
  • Respond to internal and external audit queries when necessary.
  • Assist in preparing the Corporate Division’s annual budget for submission to Executives.
  • Draft strategies for the Corporate Division for the upcoming year.
  • Represent the Bank at functions and events.
  • Travel within the region as required.
Requirements
  • A related Commerce / Finance degree is required to meet the highest competency requirements of the role.
  • FAIS accreditation is mandatory.
  • A valid driver’s license is essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years of banking (finance / credit) experience, with at least 2–3 years in a management capacity.
  • Experience in an Islamic Banking environment is preferred.
  • A comprehensive understanding of :
  • Shariah principles.
  • The Bank’s products, services, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Equation System, Microsoft Office, and Financial Systems.
  • General accounting principles and practices.
  • Financial statement analysis.
  • Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) and Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA).
  • Basic knowledge of legal agreements, legal entities, and statutory requirements.
