Overview

A vacancy exists for a Registered Nurse based at Life Kingsbury Hospital, Cape Town reporting to the Unit Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing holistic and optimal quality nursing care to critically ill patients to maximize a positive outcome for the customer in line with Company & Hospital strategic objectives.

Critical Outputs

• Ensure professional, ethical practice in the unit
• Provide and supervise nursing care in accordance with legislation that directly and indirectly governs nursing practice
• Provide and supervise nursing care in accordance with ethical codes that directly and indirectly guide nursing practices
• Accept accountability and responsibility for own professional actions

Requirements

• General Nursing Degree / Diploma
• A childcare certificate or a diploma in paediatric nursing will be advantageous.
• Registration with SANC
• 2 years’ experience working in a Paediatric preferably in the private healthcare industry, will be advantageous.
• Relevant experience and technical skill to meet the critical outputs
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
• Computer proficiency would be an advantage
• Strong customer orientation, team player, energetic, resilient and well organized.
• Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment
• Strong inter-personal skills required
