Job summary

A mental health care organization located in Vereeniging, Gauteng, is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse. You will deliver quality nursing care, monitor patient health, and educate patients on medication. The ideal candidate must have a Diploma or Degree in General Nursing Science with Psychiatry and be registered with SANC. Experience in a mental health environment would be advantageous. The Mondia HealthCare Group requires a Registered Nurse who will be based at our Mondia Vereeniging facility in Gauteng reporting to the Unit Manager.

Are you a person that enjoys offering treatment and support for people struggling with mental health challenges? Do you care about the wellbeing of people and like to motivate people?

You will work in an environment where you will be expected to:

  • Deliver safe, quality nursing care according to the scope of practice
  • Assess, observe, monitor and provide information about patient health and behaviour to the rest of the Interdisciplinary Team
  • Provide a safe and supportive physical and psychological environment
  • Manage and educate patients around important aspects with regards to prescribed medication
  • Support patients with processing of therapy interventions during their daily schedule
  • Facilitate patient compliance with regards to therapy activities and the daily schedule.
  • Show awareness of the Mental Healthcare act no 17 of 2002
Requirements, Experience And Qualifications/Training
  • Diploma or Degree in General Nursing Science with Psychiatry
  • Registered with SANC
  • Experience within a Mental Health environment would be advantageous
