Job description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Manager (QEM) to lead Quality and Product Safety execution within our manufacturing environment. Reporting to the General Manager Manufacturing, the successful candidate will ensure robust process control and drive effective corrective actions to deliver OTIFARQ- On Time, In Full, At the Right Quality.

To qualify for this position, you should meet the following entry criteria
  • Degree (minimum): Quality, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Experience: 8–10+ years in manufacturing quality, including food, food packaging, or related FMCG environments.
  • Leadership: Proven track record leading quality teams in operational settings.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of BRCGS and ISO9001.
  • Expertise: Demonstrated experience in Process Control, NCR Management, and CAPA execution.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong listening and questioning abilities.
  • Negotiation: Ability to influence and drive results across teams.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Planning & Organisation: Strong ability to plan, organise, and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Presentation: Confident in delivering presentations and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Conflict Management: Ability to manage conflicts and facilitate positive outcomes.
Key deliverables of the role
  • Lead day-to-day quality and product safety execution.
  • Manage and develop Quality Supervisor, Line Leaders, and Inspectors.
  • Ensure effective process control, in-process inspection, and release decisions.
  • Execute and embed HARA- and FMEA-driven product safety and quality risk controls in operations.
  • Drive containment, root cause analysis, and effective corrective/ preventative actions for internal incidents and customer complaints.
  • Ensure 100% completion of QCP / OPRP and critical quality checks.
  • Manage quality-related production stoppages and escalations.
  • Interface with production, engineering, and maintenance to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate contractor activities operationally where they impact quality or safety.
  • Support audits through strong execution and evidence on the floor.
