Job summary

A staffing solutions firm is seeking an experienced Quality Manager based in Gqeberha. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that manufactured parts meet customer requirements and overseeing staff performance. Applicants should have a minimum of 4 years in the automotive industry, along with strong experience in quality management systems and leadership. Knowledge of industry-specific standards such as ISO and VDA is essential. This role includes training staff to meet quality control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years in the automotive industry as a 1st tier supplier to OEM.
• 5 years of experience in a quality manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years of managerial experience.
• Working experience in plastic injection moulding.

• 5 years of experience in a quality manufacturing environment

• Working experience with quality management systems and IATF 16949
• Working experience in plastic injection moulding
• Excellent computer knowledge and experience, especially in MS Excel
• Knowledge of FMEA, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, PPAP, APQP, VDA 6.3 and VDA 6.5
• Problem-solving skills
• Drivers licence
• Passport

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that the parts manufactured meet the customer's requirements
• Ensure all relevant documentation is completed as per the Quality Management System (QMS) or instructions
• Supervision of staff
• Quality and quantity control
• IATF 16949/ ISO 9001/ VDA 6.3 and customer-specific requirements
• Maintenance of external requirements
• Perform product audits - will need training on VDA 6.5 (if you want a quality supervisor to conduct audits)
• System updates
• Training
• Train staff to meet QC and safety standards
