  • Verify designs comply with client specs, production standards, and material capabilities.
  • Communicate corrections or improvements to the design and programming teams prior to machining.

2. CNC & Machining Quality Checks

  • Inspect machined components post-CNC cutting for dimensional accuracy, edging, drilling, slotting, and labelling.

  • Identify tool wear, chipping, or programming errors and report to relevant supervisors.
  • Highlight drawing errors and propose machining improvements.

3. Assembly & Joinery Verification

  • Monitor assembly operations to ensure proper cabinetmaking standards.
  • Inspect joinery, edging, bonding, and fittings (locks, drawers, Perspex, metals, glass, etc.).
  • Ensure units meet design drawings, functional requirements, and aesthetic quality before leaving assembly.

4. Finishing & Spray Shop Quality

  • Inspect sprayed or stained units for surface preparation, sanding, colour consistency, and finish smoothness.
  • Ensure accurate item tracking through finishing to prevent mix‑ups.
  • Verify that melamine, laminate, and veneer finishes are clean, chip‑free, and uniform in tone.

5. Final Inspection & Dispatch

  • Conduct comprehensive quality checks before packaging and loading.
  • Approve or reject units based on QC standards; record all findings in the quality report.
  • Liaise with dispatch to ensure only approved items are released from the factory.
  • Strong technical expertise in timber manufacturing, joinery, and shopfitting.
  • Solid understanding of SolidWorks, CNC operations, and machining tolerances.
  • Keen eye for detail, symmetry, and finish quality.
  • In‑depth knowledge of laminates, melamine, veneers, solid timber, PU coatings, Perspex, glass, and metals.
  • Skilled at reading and interpreting technical drawings and job cards.
  • Excellent communicator able to work across multiple production departments.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve quality issues proactively and diplomatically.
