you will be responsible for overseeing the execution and implementation of the various programme strategies in the Western Cape, ensuring schools are using literacy and numeracy programmes throughout the year, and the quality of the implementation is of the highest standard.
This role combines the oversight of programme implementation, team coaching and mentoring, relationship building with key stakeholders and project management capabilities to ensure efficient execution, risk mitigation, timely delivery, and successful outcomes for our learners and youth facilitators.
Oversee the implementation of Click Learning's programs within the region.
Ensure alignment with organisational objectives and program strategies.
Monitor program progress and performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation.
Develop project activities plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Coordinate project activities and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
Continuously monitor project progress against established plans and timelines.
Identify any deviations or risks that may impact delivery and take proactive measures to address them.
Provide leadership and guidance to teams to enable them to perform optimally and achieve project goals.
Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to enhance team effectiveness and morale.
Ensure that team members are aligned with project goals and objectives.
Clearly communicate expectations and KPIs, outlining measurable targets that contribute to overall success.
Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders to coordinate implementation efforts and resolve deviations and issues.
Build, manage and maintain key internal and external relationships to support programme objectives.
Act as the primary liaison with district and circuit education officials, representing Click Learning in district-level performance reviews and advocacy projects.
Escalate systemic challenges to the Government Relations Lead and contribute to structured issue-resolution processes.
Support capacity transfer by coaching district officials in programme coordination and monitoring.
Ensure the quality delivery of Click Learning's programs, adhering to established standards and guidelines.
Conduct regular quality assurance assessments to monitor project performance and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Implement corrective actions and process improvements as needed to address identified issues.
Manage operational processes to streamline execution and improve efficiencies.
Provide input for the design and optimisation of operational practices and systems.
Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to the Director of Programmes and Government Relations.
Communicate project status, milestones, and risks in a clear and timely manner.
Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Education, Public Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience: 5–10 years' experience in project or programme management, preferably within the education, NGO, or government sectors.
Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
Demonstrated experience in working with government stakeholders.
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) with strong skills in Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis for reporting).
South African Citizens EE preferred.
