In this vital role, you will conduct inspections, monitor activities, and initiate corrective actions while working closely with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) stakeholders to enhance environmental governance. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Implement and oversee adherence to environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and minimize operational impacts.
  • Conduct regular environmental inspections and monitoring activities, initiating corrective actions as necessary to address issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement emergency preparedness and response plans to manage potential environmental risks effectively.
  • Collaborate with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) stakeholders to maintain compliance with environmental management standards and guidelines.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs, provide solutions, and manage queries, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data to generate comprehensive reports and support actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of safety by maintaining a healthy work environment and ensuring adherence to SHE policies, practices, and standards.
  • Proactively manage customer relationships, addressing complaints and continuously improving service delivery in line with service management policies.
  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer and interaction with operational staff to enhance understanding of compliance requirements and environmental legislation.
  • Investigate and report on the impact of non-compliance, ensuring swift action to mitigate risks to business operations.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • National Diploma in Environmental Management (Essential/Minimum)
  • Certificate in First Line Management (Essential/Minimum)
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Recommended/Desirable)
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Environmental Operations (Essential/Minimum)
  • Proven proficiency in implementing environmental policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance requirements
