Requirements
  • A Grade 12 certificate.
  • A National Diploma (equivalent to NQF level 6) / Bachelor's Degree (equivalent to NQF level 7) in Supply Chain Management / Logistics Management / Public Management / or equivalent, will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in a public health environment will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, and to attend to details and ensure the correctness of data / information.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to work in a team.
  • Be prepared to work overtime when required to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal relations.
  • Must be a client-oriented person.
  • Computer knowledge and literacy are compulsory.
  • Knowledge of SRM / SAP.
Duties
  • Demand & Acquisition management processes, including registration of end‑user requirements, RFQ administration process for goods and services, generation of shopping carts for purchase orders, and expediting of Purchase Orders.
  • Assist end users in drafting specifications and obtaining material master numbers.
  • Check and evaluate the compliance of all quotations received before presentation to the QAC committees.
  • Handling of end‑user queries and reporting on progress.
  • Handle queries presented to the department and provide a report on relevant functions as allocated.
  • Conduct stock taking periodically and ensure that there is always enough stock in the warehouse all the time.
  • Compile and submit reports as per the relevant function and support the Warehouse with queries.
