What You Will Do

The main purpose of the role is to facilitate the sale of parts while effectively liaising with customers.

This position reports to the Parts Controller.

Job Objective

Build good relationships between the company and customers.

Ensure zero customer complaints.

Receive sales orders from clients.

Process parts sales timely.

Prepare quotes and invoices.

File quotes, customer orders and invoices correctly at all times.

Order urgent orders from central warehouse.

Keep invoice register up to date.

Distribute backorder parts to relevant customers.

Keep parts catalogue up to date.

Monitor delivery and collection of parts to customers.

Monitor picking of customer invoices.

Follow up on V.O.R orders from customers and provide feedback.

Assist with stocktake procedures.

Handle overtime and standby as required.

Update and maintain all parts catalogues.

Achieve sales targets / KPIs.

Assist in all parts operations where requested.

Create and maintain customer base.

Follow up daily on customers.

Obtain new customers.

Compliance and Standards

All processes in your area of responsibility must follow ISO standards.

Ensure safety processes are followed.

Ensure the Safety Act and Regulations are adhered to.

Provide assistance to Warehouse Supervisor / Controller when required.

Expectations

Meet set business goals within the department.

Ensure optimal customer satisfaction.

Manage actions and business dealings according to the Volvo Way.

Utilize available systems to achieve optimal business performance.

Raise awareness of the Volvo brand and promote the brand image.

Receive adequate resources, objectives, professional guidance and support.

Qualification & Job Experience

Matric.

Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

Technical background is an advantage.

Previous experience in a parts retail environment.

A minimum of 3 years parts sales experience.

Neat, confident, self-motivated and honest.

Good admin and organizational skills.

Attention to detail and meet deadlines.

Must be able to work under pressure.
