Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain productive marketing relationships between 2U and partner institutions within an assigned portfolio.
- Determine and execute a cadenced communication plan with school stakeholders to ensure effective brand stewardship that supports the strategic marketing strategy.
- Serve as trusted advisor and brand steward with partners, leading proactive discussions to align objectives, drive growth strategies and create successful outcomes.
- Manage direct, scoped and regular contact with partners to ensure progress against marketing strategies, performance and growth objectives.
- Secure partner and/or internal approvals on new projects/initiatives, navigate partner and business requests and feedback, create and manage Jira tickets, collaborative on creative briefs, record calls, meetings and incident reports.
- Provide partners with regular performance feedback and reporting, and drive partner sentiment improvement and go‑to‑market speed.
- Drive marketing narrative with partners and internal stakeholders to support achievement of university and 2U business goals; monitor and track partner funnel, and engage internal teams as needed.
- Ensure strategic and creative deliverables align with partner brand, strategy and business goals.
- Work closely and autonomously with each program’s General Manager / Program Management / Director to ensure proper alignment and execution of marketing strategies and program objectives.
- Attend and participate in cadenced internal meetings, secure approvals, maintain partner playbooks, and collaborate with internal teams to provide necessary context and insight.
- Proactively identify and nurture growth opportunities with partners and internal stakeholders to advance partner relationships and marketing effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 3‑5 years of experience as an Account Manager, Marketing Manager, Communications Specialist, Strategist or similar role in agency, educational, digital marketing or corporate setting.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or similar a plus.
- Client‑facing agency experience highly preferred.
- Experience driving marketing strategy from concept to execution.
- Skilled at using data to develop marketing brief and project plan to impact business results.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience across a variety of digital marketing tactics.
- Background in data fluency, with drive to master 2U’s specific business model; interest in lead generation/acquisition marketing a plus.
- Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; highly organized with great attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a fun, casual, professional, and productive team atmosphere.
- Comfortable working with diverse teams in a fast‑paced environment; enthusiastic and adaptable to constant change.
Working Conditions
- Works US hours from 1 pm SAST – 10 pm SAST.
