Introduction: We are seeking a highly motivated and immediately available Chartered Accountant (SA) for a contract-to-permanent position based in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have completed their articles at one of the Big 4 accounting firms and will bring a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail to our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
  • Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Internal Controls: Evaluate and improve internal control systems to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns.
  • Management Reporting: Provide insightful financial analysis and reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various departments and senior management to drive financial performance and business growth.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience: Completed articles at one of the Big 4 accounting firms.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
