Job Description

STADIO is looking for a Module Coordinator and Programme Coordinator (School of Law) with the start date 01 May 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and setting assessments across different modules
  • Designing classroom material, both synchronous and asynchronous (with specific focus on business law and insolvency law) and associated responsibilities
  • Conducting quality assurance checks and compiling portfolios of evidence on the postgraduate LLB degree
  • Managing recognition of prior learning and credit accumulation transfers on a postgraduate LLB degree
  • Moderation on various modules
  • Using the learning management system (LMS)
  • Marking a limited number of assessments (assignments and exams) and providing feedback to lecturers and markers
  • Development of study material and management of relevant modules
  • Research and scholarship
  • Academic administration and other delegated duties
  • Participation in school and campus community and school and campus events
  • Professional development
Requirements

Minimum requirements:

  • At least a completed South African LLM degree in Mercantile Law or a related field, LLD degree preferred
  • Expertise in the field of business law and insolvency law
  • Expertise in higher education quality assurance
  • A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in higher education
  • Good knowledge of online learning management systems/tools
  • Good knowledge of legal databases such as JutaStat, LexisNexis, Sabinet
  • A proven research track record
Advantageous
  • Experience in programme development
  • Experience in authoring study material
  • Admission as a legal practitioner
Qualifications and experience
