Lead Mechanical Engineer vacancy in Centurion. BEng or Masters degree in Engineering specialising in Mechanical/Structural Design, Antenna Design or RF Electronics. Minimum 10 years of proven leadership. Familiarity with defence/aerospace standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Act as the design authority for your discipline leading complex system designs and ensuring technical excellence
• Guide and review design activities to ensure compliance, manufacturability and performance integrity
• Provide technical mentorship and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation
• Support opportunity evaluation, feasibility studies and bid development
• Collaborate with other Chief Engineers and executive leadership to align technical strategy with company objectives
• Drive research process improvement and intellectual property generation

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, specialising in Mechanical/Structural Design, Antenna Theory or RF Electronics/Firmware.
• 10 years of relevant engineering experience with proven technical leadership
• Recognised subject matter expert in your discipline (e.g. structural mechanics)
• Strong familiarity with defence and aerospace standards (MIL-STD, STANAG, IEC, ISO)
• Proficient in MS Office
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, FEKO, HFSS, CST or similar simulation and analysis tools (Beneficial)
