Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities
- Deliver mechanical preventative maintenance plans
- Compile a mechanical machinery preventative maintenance strategy and plan for the business unit
- Maintaining mechanical systems and repairs
- Oversee the inspection and testing of different mechanical equipment and systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Mechanical compliance standards and governance
- Oversee the development and updating of policies and procedures for all mechanical equipment
- Budget management
- Collaborate with the entire mechanical management team to manage the budget
- Stakeholder management
- Engage with internal customers to understand challenges, issues, developments, and repair related requirements
Skills and competencies
Requires specialised theoretical knowledge and processes relating to mechanical system and equipment maintenance practises, processes and regulations
Qualifications
- Four year degree in mechanical plus a in mechanical engineering
- Apprenticeship in engineering with 5 years practical experience
- Registered with ECSA and accredited engineering institutions
- Min 5 years experience in a mechanical engineering management environment
- Good working knowledge of the following systems.
- Project management experience and experience in managing contractors and suppliers
