Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Marketing Coordinator based in Kariega, South Africa.
Responsibilities
- coordinating all marketing activities
- supporting the sales team

- ensuring effective communication with internal teams and external partners

- assist with content creation
- support the implementation of marketing strategies to achieve business objectives

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in Marketing / Qualification in Marketing will be beneficial
- Experience in the Plumbing/Retail/Sanitary environment will be advantegous
- Experience with Canva will be beneficial
- Analytical, organised and deadline driven
- Sales orientated and strong ethical values a "must" requirement
- Other Skills including Social Media, Good Communication, Digital Marketing, Microsoft Office, Project Management.
- Excellent inter-personal skills – will be required to communicate with staff and clients at all levels.
- Good time management skills – must be able to multi - task and spend time with clients/public to understand the requirements and needs.
Detailed description of Duties
- General Marketing Duties:
- Develop and present marketing strategy at annual sales conference.
- Create and update PowerPoint presentations for annual reports and budget presentations.
- Wirquin Group Marketing:
- Participate in monthly group marketing meetings.
- Handle product inquiries, sales data confirmation, and surveys.
- Provide feedback and content for internal and external group communications.
- Coordinate quarterly or monthly meetings with Product Marketing Managers.
- Brand Management:
- Ensure brand consistency across all applications and activities.
- Maintain and enhance public image through various initiatives.
- Collect market information from sales teams and customer feedback.
- Internal Marketing:
- Update email signatures and internal templates as per group requirements/format
- Create marketing content for the quarterly Planet Newsletter.
- Advertising and Public Relations:
- Manage advertising in designated media outlets.
- Distribute press releases and update the website with project information.
- Create awareness for new products via traditional media and WhatsApp advertising.
- Project Management:
- Oversee bi-weekly project meetings for product planning and market research.
- Manage the process for new products and packaging changes.
- Follow SKU creation procedures and coordinate with the group marketing team.
- Manage item code creation and update relevant documentation and websites.
- Display Stands:
- Develop display ideas with reps and customers, manage quotes, and oversee production.
- Coordinate delivery of display stands and stock to customers.
- Marketing Budget:
- Develop and manage the annual marketing budget.
- Analyze budget spend and adjust for future needs.
- Gather feedback and quotes for marketing plans and product launches.
- Ensure all marketing expenses stay within budget parameters.
- Social Media Advertising:
- Create and implement social media calendar and strategy.
- Monitor competitor and customer social media accounts.
- Manage social media community and WhatsApp status for sales team.
- Content Creation with Canva:
- Design monthly product promotions and content for various platforms.
- Adapt group content and design stickers for internal marketing gifts.
- Product Information Management (PIM):
- Attend bi-weekly PIM meetings and maintain data accuracy.
- Extract and verify product brochures and characteristics.
- Website and Online Marketing:
- Ensure data accuracy and continuous updates for SEO.
- Write blog posts and maintain email marketing database.
- Manage online presence and Google AdWords campaigns.
- Customer Websites and Online Stores:
- Audit and update customer websites with Wirquin brand information.
- Liaise with customers to implement updates.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Meet with customer marketing teams to increase brand exposure.
- Develop branded display stand ideas and value-added services.
- Product Campaigns:
- Create and track marketing campaigns for product visibility.
- Manage packaging changes and rebranding efforts.
- E-Commerce:
- Meet quarterly to manage promotional pricing and stock levels.
- Maintain product details and correct inaccuracies on e-retailer platforms.
- Rep Tours:
- Implement and manage the tour process with sales reps and clients.
- Ensure tours are educational and create brand awareness.
- NPS Success:
- Develop marketing plans to support sales targets.
- Organize golf days, expo days, and product submissions for industry publications.
