Job Description

The role includes:

  1. Sales and service to Tier 3 and other smaller clients in the Mid Market segment within the Coastal & Central Southern Africa Region.
  2. Supporting the Coastal and Central Southern Africa Heads of Cluster to develop and maintain relationships between Visa and its partners/members.
  3. Contributing to the development, production, and implementation of initiatives outlined in country plans.
  4. Building and updating a comprehensive Business Intelligence tool monthly, gathering macroeconomic data, Visa's issuing and acquiring activities, market competition, and client data.
  5. Handling client queries and issues, providing timely solutions.
  6. Ensuring client compliance with service levels, maintaining service records, and resolving complaints efficiently.
  7. Identifying key market opportunities, providing analysis, and developing business cases.
  8. Serving as the central communication point for all clients in the market.
  9. This is a hybrid position. The expected days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
  10. Liaising with relevant Visa departments to align on member priorities and ensure business outcomes.
  11. Coordinating with other Visa departments to implement country plans successfully.
  12. Working closely with other Visa functional teams and understanding Visa solutions.
  13. Completing ad hoc projects, research, presentations, and other initiatives as requested by management.
  14. Supporting business development managers with administrative tasks related to licensing, accounts receivable, etc.
  15. Following up on execution plans to ensure efficient Time To Market.
  16. Managing internal sales MIS reporting processes, including MS Dynamics, bi-weekly pipeline reports, and ad-hoc client performance reports.

Note: This is a hybrid role. Employees are expected to work from the office 2-3 days a week, with the exact days determined by leadership and business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field.
  • Bilingual in English and French.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience.
  • Experience in sales, finance, or relationship management.
  • Willingness to learn and execute effective sales strategies for new payment solutions and services.
  • Experience with card issuing/acquiring is beneficial; exposure to financial institutions or MNOs is a plus.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Experience in sales, retail, or business development roles.
