Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a hands-on Management Accountant to manage financial reporting and cost control activities. This role involves preparing monthly financial reports, analysing budgets, and supporting operational decisions in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, over 5 years of experience, and proficiency in MS Excel. Knowledge of CIMA qualifications is advantageous. This position is located in Boksburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and reconciliations.

• Analyse budgets, variances, and costs, and provide recommendations for improvement.

• Assist with monthly stock counts, cycle counts, and investigate any differences.

• Support warehouse operations with reporting and analytics.

• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

• Work with managers to control costs and improve efficiency.

• Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting (minimum NQF 7).

• 5+ years experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel essential).

• CIMA qualification or progress towards it will be an advantage.
