Job Title: Operations Manager

As a seasoned operations professional, you will lead the day-to-day activities of our logistics and scaffold operations teams.

You will oversee truck movements, forklifts, material handling, loading accuracy, cross-hire stock management, and refurbishment processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily logistics and scaffold operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Oversee trucks, forklifts, and equipment to ensure optimal utilisation and return times.
• Conduct regular inspections using Cartrack and Manage Live, maintaining accurate logs and inspection records.
• Coordinate daily deliveries and collections, supervise loading, and submit movement reports.
• Ensure all delivery paperwork, maps, and routing instructions are completed correctly.
• Oversee driver management, including training on safety protocols, PPE, and conducting alcohol tests.
• Compile weekly and monthly cost, stock, cross-hire, quality, damages, and refurbishment reports.
• Align loading lists with operational needs, verify material accuracy, and ensure counter staff competency.
• Source materials, negotiate pricing, manage cross-hire limits, reconcile supplier statements, and maintain tracking systems.
• Implement quality control across the yard and site, enforce housekeeping standards, and Health & Safety processes.
• Manage refurbishment procurement, team productivity, and reporting.
• Lead weekly and monthly operational meetings with structured agendas and documentation.
• Oversee yard personnel management, training, KPIs, disciplinary processes, and toolbox talks.
• Support general operational duties, including managing risks related to diesel tank usage.
