Overview
Our client, who specialise in delivering cutting-edge digital services to their clients in the mining industry, is looking for a motivated Lead Monitoring Engineer with 7+ years of experience in process monitoring and/or analytics to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will play a role in improving the health and performance of industrial processes across multiple client sites by using advanced data analysis tools and their knowledge of process engineering. This role requires previous exposure to process monitoring, data analytics software and process control, while also presenting the ability to work collaboratively with customers to deliver tangible outcomes.
The Lead Monitoring Engineer will engage in weekly and bi-weekly monitoring meetings with customers, analyse process trends, and drive issue resolution, thereby building towards becoming a trusted advisor to the customer base. The role also involves collaborating with internal product and engineering teams to enhance process monitoring capabilities and digital solutions.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, or Process Engineering (postgraduate qualification beneficial).
- 7+ years of experience, where at least a part thereof was in minerals processing and data analytics and preferably processing on-site.
- Background in process control, optimisation, and automation within industrial settings.
- Experience with process monitoring, PID control, Advanced Process Control (APC), and industrial instrumentation would be beneficial.
- Data analytics experience, including working with tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, and industrial data platforms (e.g., historians).

- Role is based in an office/Monitoring Center setting, with occasional travel as required.
