Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing on blood, stool, and other specimens.
• Collect and prepare samples, including phlebotomy.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Interact with patients, ensuring comfort during collection.

Skills

Proficiency in manual and automated testing methods

Strong phlebotomy and sterile technique practices

Comfortable with LIS and digital lab workflows

Clear and empathetic communication

Education

National Diploma in Biomedical Technology

Full registration with the HPCSA
