As a Lab Assistant in Histology, you are responsible for supporting the smooth flow of specimens through the laboratory, ensuring that each step in the process is handled with care and precision. You are not just assisting, you are contributing to a culture of high performance, where every action matters and every person is empowered to thrive.
To be considered for this role, you must have successfully completed Grade 12. You must also be registered with the HPCSA as a Lab Assistant in Histology. 0 - 5 years of experience as a Lab Assistant in a laboratory setting is required.
Strong communication skills are essential. You are able to read, write and speak fluently in English. You are comfortable with basic numerical reasoning, able to perform everyday calculations with confidence.
In this role, your contribution is both practical and purposeful. You are responsible for receiving gynae specimens, preparing cytology samples, and performing general laboratory tasks that keep operations running smoothly. You support administrative processes, help maintain a clean and safe workspace, and play a part in building strong client relationships that reflect the professionalism and care of the team.
