Uplands School is a member of the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA) and the Anglican Board of Education of South Africa (ABESA) and offers examinations set by the Independent Examination Board (IEB).

Uplands College wishes to appoint a junior teacher OR a final year education/PGCE student with teaching specialities in Economic Management Sciences with Accounting.

The successful applicant will:

  • Possess a suitable professional qualification OR be in the final stages of completing a teaching degree or PGCE degree.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain a SACE registration.
  • Willing to be mentored by more experienced educators.
  • Be willing to participate fully in the co-curricular programme of the school.
  • Be willing to work as a pastoral tutor in the school.
  • Be a self-starter willing to take initiative if and when needed.
  • Embrace technology in the classroom.
