Established company in Nelspruit is recruiting for an Automation engineer to design develop maintain and troubleshoot industrial automation systems using PLC SCADA HMI drives sensors instrumentation and networking technologies.

National Diploma or BTech (Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering or Process Instrumentation) with 0-3 years relevant working experience.

Requirements

• National Diploma / (Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering or Process Instrumentation)
• 03 years relevant experience.
• Solid understanding of PLC basics ladder logic instrumentation fundamentals sensors encoders motors VSDs.
• Willingness to travel and get hands dirty onsite.

Responsibilities

• Draft and implement PLC logic (Phoenix Contact Siemens Rockwell Schneider Omron AB ABB etc.)
• Develop and configure SCADA / HMI interfaces and dashboards.
• Perform onsite commissioning FAT SAT and system integration work.
• Troubleshoot automation hardware and comms issues (I / O faults encoder problems comms buses sensors VFDs etc.).
• Interpret electrical diagrams P&IDs loop drawings.
• Implement industrial communication protocols (Modbus Profibus Profinet Ethernet / IP MQTT etc.)
• Ensure system compliance with safety standards and risk assessments.
• Prepare documentation (functional specs manuals IO lists as-builts).
