Responsibilities

  • Capture supplier invoices and process payments via EFT.
  • Follow up on outstanding customer payments and allocate receipts.
  • Compile audit files and provide reconciliations for external auditors.
  • Assist with VAT calculations and other statutory tax requirements.

Job description

Were looking for a motivated Junior Accounts Administrator to support our finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks. The role involves assisting with financial reporting, month-end processes, account reconciliations, and processing invoices. You'll also help ensure tax compliance and support audit activities. Ideal for a recent graduate with a keen eye for detail and a passion for numbers.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in drafting monthly management accounts and financial reports aligned with IFRS and internal policies.
  • Prepare journal entries and support the full month-end and year-end closing cycles to ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Reconcile key general ledger accounts, including bank accounts, supplier balances, and intercompany transactions.
  • Capture supplier invoices, match them to POs or delivery notes, and process payments via EFT.
  • Follow up on outstanding customer payments, generate customer statements, and allocate receipts accurately.
  • Compile audit files, source supporting documents, and provide reconciliations for external auditors.
  • Assist with VAT calculations, EMP201 submissions, and other statutory tax requirements.
  • Support the rollout and testing of new accounting software or automation tools.
  • Report directly to the Financial Manager and work closely with other departments.
  • High level of accuracy, time management, and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a small finance team.
