Job summary

A financial services company based in Pretoria is seeking a diligent candidate for a bookkeeping position. Responsibilities include capturing financial data and reconciling accounts up to the Trial Balance. Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of accounting experience, proficiency in Pastel Partner, and must possess their own transport. Job Purpose

The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing financial data and performing reconciliations up to Trial Balance for a group of companies. This role requires in-office presence in Pretoria, and is not hybrid or remote.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capture bank statements, supplier invoices, and other source documents.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, supplier accounts, and customer accounts up to Trial Balance.
  • Compile working papers and maintain audit/accounting files for Accountant and Management.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the finance and accounting team.
  • Organize and file all relevant finance and accounting documentation.
  • Assist with preparation of financial reports and related administrative duties.
Skills and Experience Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ bookkeeping/accounting experience.
  • Prior experience working with Pastel Partner is essential.
  • Advanced computer literacy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent administrative and document management skills.
  • Previous experience working with group companies is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must have own reliable transport.
