Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of restaurant service experience from a four-star hotel or cruise ship.
  • Able to adequately explain pricing, food, wine, and cocktail menus to guests.

  • Provide a positive first impression to every guest through a warm, welcoming greeting.
  • Nurture a lasting connection with every guest by showing genuine interest during service.
  • Prepare table settings and maintain service stations per Company standards.
  • Assist in delivering food and beverages in the correct order and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides a positive first impression to every guest through a warm, welcoming individual greeting; always maintains a clean and professional appearance.
  • Nurtures a lasting connection with every guest by always showing genuine interest during service and remaining fully engaged throughout the voyage.
  • Always observes and identifies guest preferences and adjusts service accordingly, anticipating guest’s needs and offering appropriate responses without the guest having to ask.
  • Assists the Waiter to create a comfortable, elegant ambiance by always preparing table settings and maintaining service stations in line with all Company standards.
  • Assists the Waiter to deliver food and beverages as requested, on time, in the correct service order, follows up to ensure each guest’s needs have been met and suggests solutions to any issues.
  • Always follows all Company guidelines, policies, and procedures, including USPH protocols.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Graduate of a recognized Catering / Hotel Management School preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of restaurant service experience from four-star hotel or cruise ship
  • Knowledge of food, beverage and wine menus used throughout the fleet
  • Able to adequately explain pricing, food, wine, and cocktail menus to guests
  • Ability to work under pressure, in both Front and Back of House areas
  • Necessary computer skills and knowledge of P.O.S. systems
  • Command of the English language, both verbal and written
