Role Summary
This role ensures strategic alignment, governance, and delivery excellence across the IT portfolio, working closely with stakeholders to drive successful execution of projects and programs.
Portfolio Management & Governance
- Oversee the entire IT portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks for portfolio tracking, reporting, and compliance.
- Monitor portfolio health, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation across towers.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Act as the primary liaison between IT leadership, digital tower leads, and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Delivery Factory, PMO, Business Process Organization, Service Towers, and BAU teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Facilitate communication and decision‑making across cross‑functional teams.
Delivery Oversight
- Ensure timely and quality delivery of IT initiatives across all functional areas.
- Drive adherence to governance, compliance, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Support escalation management and resolution of delivery challenges.
Budget Management & Financial Alignment
- Manage and oversee IT portfolio budgets across all functional towers.
- Ensure financial alignment with digital tower strategies and organizational priorities.
- Track and report on budget utilization, variances, and forecasts to senior leadership.
- Partner with Finance and PMO to maintain accurate financial reporting and cost optimization.
Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Develop and maintain portfolio roadmaps, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on portfolio status, risks, and benefits realization.
- Align portfolio investments with organizational priorities and digital transformation objectives.

Qualifications & Skills
- Matric and a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT portfolio/program management within large, complex organizations.
- Understanding of IT functional domains beneficial (Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, etc.).
- Expertise in governance frameworks, portfolio management tools, and delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive alignment across diverse teams.
