IT Audit Manager – Forvis Mazars – South Africa

Forvis Mazars is currently seeking an IT Audit Manager to participate in client engagement teams, assessing and improving our client's business and information technology processes and controls, predominantly within the IT environment.

Responsibilities Support in planning and preparation for IT audit engagements, scoping the work and running planning meetings with the client.

Budgeting and WIP management.

Demonstrate strong project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, and use current technology and tools to enhance deliverables.

Coach and support junior team members in discharging responsibilities and provide audit methodology guidance.

Manage work of self and junior members to ensure engagements meet deadlines.

Track time spent by the engagement team against deliverables and original budget.

Analyse business, financial and IT systems to identify risks and improvements in computer systems and IT-enabled business processes.

Assist clients in strengthening internal controls and improving IT and business performance; collaborate with the engagement team to plan, develop work program timelines, risk assessments and other planning documents.

Ensure high quality client service by directing daily fieldwork progress, informing supervisors of engagement status and managing staff performance.

Maintain long-term client relationships and cultivate business development opportunities.

Discuss and resolve audit issues and recommendations with client management.

Demonstrate thorough understanding of complex information systems and applications.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, information systems, business or related major.

4–6 years of experience in IT auditing, IT security, information technology operations or internal audit.

Program and project delivery skills, including design and reporting.

Pursuing or holding certifications such as CISA, CISM.

Demonstrated excellence in conduct and business ethics.

Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills; team orientation.

Exceptional time-management skills and ability to work under high pressure.

Experience with SAP, Oracle JDE, SQL, Linux, IT General Controls, DR.
