Job description
Position Summary

Tracker requires the services of a Quality Assurer in the Technical Department based in the Nelspruit office. The department is responsible for effecting installations of sophisticated electronic equipment into vehicles. The candidate will ensure all installations are conducted according to Tracker quality standards and provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders. EE candidates will be given first preference.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular and planned assessments in your area of responsibility
  • Identify shortfalls and provide solutions
  • Interact with technicians and have technical discussions
  • Assess fitment centres in your area
  • Mentor and educate technicians
  • Ensure compliance with installation standards and OEM bulletins
  • Maintain customer‑service ethics compliance
  • Distribute bulletins to technicians and FC
  • Maintain strong quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with reporting to admin and management
  • Liaise between multiple departments
  • Motivate technicians to perform quality installations
  • Provide reports and feedback
  • Implement and evaluate quality procedures
  • Evaluate and improve technical procedures
  • Attend to technical SRs that are quality related and give feedback to technicians and managers
  • Maintain Tracker’s recommended recovery rate through the installation quality process
  • Perform test requests
  • Attend to PIC’s
  • Attend to battery drainage complaints
  • Assist with project installations
  • Assist with after‑hours standby
  • Liaise with clients to solve technical issues and deliver service excellence
  • Assist with technical queries
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric with a National Technical Certificate in Automotive Electronics or Motor Mechanic
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an auto electrician or motor mechanic, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Good communication and administrative skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office) is advantageous
  • Strong fault‑finding skills and techniques
  • Ability to deliver service excellence
  • Prepared to travel
