Job summary

A leading hygiene solutions provider in Durban is seeking a motivated Hygiene Specialist to drive new business and meet sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in sales, experience in the hygiene industry, and excellent interpersonal skills. We are seeking a Hygiene Specialist.

To source new business & achieve monthly sales target.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Diploma in Sales or marketing is advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years proven sales experience preferable from the hygiene industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities
  • Highly self-motivated, organised, and results-driven
  • Own reliable transport required
  • Have willingness to travel to customers
Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve or exceed monthly sales targets through new business acquisition and upselling to existing clients
  • Source leads through cold calling, prospecting, and networking
  • Negotiate and close contracts with new and existing clients, ensuring profitable and sustainable deals
  • Re-sign existing clients and drive retention through excellent service and relationship management
  • Promote and sell the full hygiene solutions offering, including value-added services
  • Maintain a strong, updated sales pipeline and submit monthly pipeline reports
  • Schedule and attend daily appointments (target: 6 new, 2 existing clients per day); ensure all appointments are honoured
  • Maintain professional, proactive communication with customers at all stages of the sales process
  • Ensure accurate completion of all sales documentation: contracts, survey sheets, installation forms, etc.
  • Identify and sign quality clients with good payment potential
  • Provide regular feedback and after-sales service; resolve queries and manage cancellations professionally
  • Conduct routine site visits and quality checks to ensure service levels and client satisfaction
  • Deliver hygiene education sessions (e.g. toolbox talks) to enhance client awareness and engagement
  • Track contract end dates of prospects to re-engage at strategic times
  • Keep CRM system up to date daily; submit accurate weekly call sheets and activity reports
  • Continuously build product knowledge and stay updated on market trends and competitor offerings
  • Collaborate with operations and admin teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
  • Manage objections and negotiate effectively while maintaining Sanitech’s value proposition
  • Perform any additional duties as reasonably assigned

  • Achieve monthly sales targets
  • Build pipeline
  • Complete weekly call sheets – 6 new clients plus 2 existing – 8 calls per day
