Job summary

A leading tourism organization in Cape Town seeks a Managing Executive to handle financial transactions, manage payroll, and ensure tax compliance. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records and generating insightful reports. Candidates should have a Financial Diploma/Degree and at least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in tourism. Proficiency in accounting software and strong communication skills are essential. This position offers a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting, preferably in the tourism industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in accounting software.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper documentation of entries.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts promptly.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Prepare and file VAT returns and other tax submissions in compliance with regulations.
• Process employee payroll ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Generate financial reports including profit and loss statements.
