HVAC Engineering Specialist The role of HVAC Engineering Specialist is a critical position within the Maintenance Engineering team, responsible for ensuring the reliability, compliance, and efficiency of HVAC systems across data centers and facilities.

This specialist will be hands-on, providing technical support to the wider business, and ensure that assets are maintained, recommissioned, and optimized to meet operational and regulatory requirements.

Deliver maintenance support to resolve plant and equipment issues.

Manage asset data in CMMS (SAP) and maintain accurate records.

Recommission HVAC and building management system equipment to original design standards.

Conduct failure investigations, quality audits, and compile technical reports.

Provide inputs for maintenance service contracts and statutory compliance requirements.

Offer Level 2 breakdown support and reinstatement of equipment.

Perform heat load and ventilation calculations; design small HVAC / ventilation systems.

Approve project specifications for compliance and maintainability.

Analyse equipment performance data to drive improvements.

In order to be successful, you will require :

• A B Tech or S4 qualification in Mechanical / Refrigeration & Air-conditioning Engineering, with Electrical qualification being an advantage.
• No less than years' experience in HVAC design and maintenance.
• Professional registration / trade in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and schematics.
• Experience in root-cause analysis, incident investigation, and technical reporting.
• Proficiency with SAP CMMS and MS Office, capable of heat load calculations.
• A Code B driver's license – frequent travel required.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
