Duties & Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Partner: Collaborate directly with the CEO and management to align HR initiatives with business objectives. Be the internal advisor on all people matters – from organisational design to change management.
- Culture & Engagement Champion: Champion employee morale and motivation across teams. Design wellness, reward, and recognition strategies that foster a thriving workplace.
- Talent Acquisition & Development Guru: Lead full-cycle recruitment – identifying, attracting, and onboarding the right talent. Drive performance management and learning initiatives that develop high-potential employees.
- Compliance & Governance Leader: Keep the business compliant with labour laws (BCEA, LRA, OHS, EE, COIDA, POPIA, etc.). Lead policy development, implementation, and continuous updates across all HR functions.
- People Analytics & Operational Efficiency Driver: Monitor leave, benefits, claims, and compensation practices, ensuring fairness and sustainability. Use HR data to inform strategy and ensure effective delivery of HR services.
- Transformation and Skills Leader: Develop and drive the Employment Equity and Skills Development strategies. Work closely with the finance team to manage BBBEE compliance and audit readiness.
- Crisis Navigator: Handle industrial relations, strikes, disciplinary processes, retrenchments, and grievances with empathy and legal precision.
- Office Operations Oversight: Oversee facilities, admin, and travel management to ensure the office runs like a well-oiled machine.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- What We're Looking For: A proactive, confident, and adaptable HR leader.
- A minimum of 5–8 years in a senior HR role, preferably with generalist and strategic exposure.
- In-depth knowledge of South African HR legislation and best practice.
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (or similar).
- Solid experience in organisational development, EE/SD/BEE planning, and compliance.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- High EQ, resilience, and sound judgment under pressure.
