Job summary

HR Manager - Paarden Eiland, Cape Town - Market Related

A well-established organisation in the import/export sector is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the full HR function leadership across all levels. This role is ideal for a confident, organised and solutions-driven HR professional with strong operational and strategic capability.

Key Duties
  • Manage the full HR function, including HR admin, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding and performance processes.
  • Prepare info for 3rd-party payroll processing and ensure weekly wages are submitted on time.
  • Handle disciplinary processes, initiate hearings and manage grievances.
  • Support and coach line managers on HR matters and human capital issues.
  • Coordinate training, learnerships and all SETA submissions (WSP/ATR/WFP).
  • Maintain and update policies, procedures, job descriptions and company communication.
  • Manage EE meetings, reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare monthly HR reports and assist with internal and external audits (BEE, EE, SETA, DOL).
Requirements
  • 10 years relevant HR experience, including 5 years at management level.
  • Strong ER background with CCMA experience.
  • Solid knowledge of BCEA & LRA; union exposure advantageous.
  • Relevant HR qualification (minimum 2-year).
  • Intermediate Excel skills; Sage Payroll advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask effectively and handle deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem-solving and judgement skills.
  • Own transport required.
Working Hours
