POSITION INFO
Minimum Requirements
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in an HR Generalist function
  • Previous work experience with SAGE payroll highly advantageous
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, such as BCEA, LRA, EEA and applicable acts, coupled with extensive exposure on labour relations matters
  • CCMA experience (an advantage)
  • Demonstrated experience in providing people solutions across the full suite of Human Resource managerial disciplines
  • Health and Safety experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to)
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes across all business units
  • Support managers with job profiles, job ads, interview processes, and candidate selection
  • Oversee Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding
  • Oversee and advise on offers, employment contracts
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyse turnover trends
  • Manage payroll processes and employee data
  • Ensure accurate loading of new employees, salary adjustments, bonuses, and terminations
  • Address payroll queries and resolve discrepancies timeously
  • Maintain salary information, benchmarking, and remuneration records
  • Prepare statutory documentation (UI19s, service certificates, etc.)
  • Coordinate separation processes and employee exits
  • Manage HR reporting and ensure data accuracy
  • Maintain records for staff certifications, registrations, and equipment issued
  • Advise management and employees on labour relations matters
  • Manage disciplinary, grievance, and appeal processes
  • Conduct investigations, draft charges, and coordinate disciplinary hearings
  • Represent the company at CCMA and Labour Court when required
  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation and statutory reporting (EE, BBBEE, etc.)
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and SOPs
  • Support initiatives to improve compliance and governance standards
  • Coach managers on performance appraisals and employee development
  • Ensure annual performance reviews are conducted across the organization
  • Manage SETA-related activities and training reporting
  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning initiatives
  • Oversee succession planning and retention strategies
  • Act as Health & Safety Officer and liaise with external service providers
  • Coordinate health and safety meetings, audits, and compliance activities
  • Drive employee engagement, wellness, and culture-building initiatives
  • Support change management and organisational development initiatives
  • Manage ad-hoc HR projects as required
Additional Information
  • This position will be based in Mowbray, Cape Town
  • 12 months Fixed Term Contract
  • Full-Time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
